Full-scale electrical, lighting, and climate system integration for a 1940s home renovation.

We were engaged to upgrade and refine the electrical and mechanical systems of a 1940s home on Jellicoe Drive, Hamilton East. While the property had previously undergone a modern extension, the lighting and ventilation systems no longer reflected the standard of the home.

Our role was to elevate the performance, comfort, and overall feel of the space. Integrating modern systems that work quietly in the background while complementing the existing architecture.

Highlights

  • Architectural Lighting Integration

  • Smart Zoned Climate Control (iZone)

  • Fresh Air Ventilation System (Lossnay)

“Alectrics made a noticeable difference to how the home feels day-to-day. The lighting is warmer and more considered, and the airflow and temperature are now consistent throughout. It’s completely changed how we live and enjoy the space.”

Lighting Designed to Elevate the Space

The existing lighting was reworked to better suit the home’s layout and architectural features.

We introduced a more refined lighting plan across both interior and exterior spaces, focusing on warmth, balance, and usability. The result is a layered lighting approach that enhances the home without overpowering it - improving both functionality and atmosphere.

Ducted Heat Pump System with Smart Zoning

To address inconsistent temperatures throughout the home, we installed a fully ducted heat pump system with an integrated iZone control system.

This allows each room to be independently controlled, with automatic airflow adjustment via motorised dampers. The system adapts to how the home is used, delivering efficient, whole-home comfort year-round.
